Pink mountain majesty

One of my favorite sights in the world is flying over the mountain ranges into the Albuquerque area. This last trip, I flew in right at sunset to a full view of beautiful pink-tinted mountains overlooking the valley where Albuquerque rests.

I can see my house from here!

I enjoy searching for recognizable landmarks when flying. Yesterday I just happened to notice a few landmarks while taking off from the Houston airport… then discovered I could see my house! Cool!

Sitting in judgment

Advisory: this could be filed under TMI. Just FYI.

So, I’m sitting here in front of my computer, minding my own business and doing my digital scrapbook layout, when I hear Nathan walk up behind me. I turn around to a somewhat flustered and amused husband. Talking with his hands he says, “Your feminine hygiene products are judging me!”

Can you imagine the look on my face? Yeah, I’m sure you can.

“No, really!” he says, “You gotta come see.”

As he leads me to the bathroom, he explains, “I was just standing there [doing my business] and I look at the box. And realize it’s looking back at me!” Skeptical (and wondering what the hell he’s been smoking ‘cuz I want some too), I continue to follow him. Then I see:

Which reminds me… I need one of those shirts that says, “I am SO going to blog this”…

We don’t let Tex keep squeaky toys on the floor. Like most things he wants to chew on, he quickly enters Search and Destroy mode. Not to mention the incessant squeaky noise. These toys have been on our bookshelf for months. Tonight he suddenly decided he wanted them back.
