Phooey Friday

Normally Fridays are the highlight of the week. But I’m sick and it feels like anything BUT a highlight. We got flu shots this season, so at least it’s not the flu. And aside from that lovely *snark* bout with vertigo and the occasional migraine, I haven’t gotten sick all winter! But now I’ve got a sore throat, just in time for the weekend. Hopefully it’s gone before I travel to NM next week for a board meeting and to visit pregnant ladies. I’m sure the last thing a third-trimester mom wants is a cold. Blech.

On to felicitations:

  • I stayed home when I got sick. Seriously, nothing bugs me more than people who come to work hacking up a lung and spreading their germs. So I try to set a responsible example. ;)
  • Set up a podcast interview and got work done that I’ve been putting off for way too long. Procrastination is fun until it catches up with you!
  • Worked way ahead on my other podcast project, so apparently my procrastination is very picky and choosey. :)

And people I know had a good week too!

  • My sister had a kick ass performance appraisal. But as usual, what else is new? :)
  • Jo found out she couldn’t come up for the Cirque du Soleil show she was going to with my hubby. So in another sweet BIL move, he changed our Cirque du Soleil tickets so Jo could come with us. Not every BIL would do that!
  • Speaking of hubby, he booked a trip to Britain for us and it was all his idea. Serious breakthrough! :D

Funniest. Fark headline. EVER.

Special Wednesday edition of Monday Madness. Almost peed my pants. They called in the Red Cross!!! :D :D

Woe is Tex

This is how my hubby understands what our puppy, Tex, must be feeling:

Please don’t have me fixed!!
Please don't have me fixed!

I finally get to use my passport!

Yea! Nathan found a super-good deal on reward travel for our credit card points, so we’re going to Britain for 2 weeks in October. OMG, OMG, OMG. Can you tell I’m excited?!

Monday Madness - Are you banned?

Here’s an interesting link: you can see what web sites are banned in China. I’m happy to announce that Becca’s Cyber Home is not banned. :)
