My newest musical addiction

I tend to find an artist I like and latch on like there’s no other musician in the world. I did that with Laura Powers–listened to her non-stop for about a year. I mean no disrespect to Laura, but she’s been displaced by Loreena McKennitt.

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a musical rendition of “The Lady of Shalot,” not to mention “The Highwayman.” *sigh*  Two of the best poems EVER. It’s such beautiful music that if I didn’t have any neighbors, I’d sit outside with the speakers blaring and soak it all up while I sat with the wind rustling through my hair.

Let’s see, I have four albums: The Visit, The Mask and MirrorParallel Dreams, and The Book of Secrets.

And, today her newest album, An Ancient Muse, released. I preorded it on iTunes so I got it right away. Hehehehe. And it is SO worth the moola. Go get it now!

Oo oo!!! New Loreena! It’s been forever! I’ve gotta get it! If you’re gonna replace Laura with anyone, Loreena’s a very good choice. Laura should take no offense. :D

I “discovered” Loreena just last week when I was researching the theme Dark Night of the Soul and got directed to The Mask and Mirror albumn. Wow.
