Seeking a moment of zen

At 9:30, I was already having a frustrating day. Then, coming back to my office from picking up lunch, I felt a twinge of heartburn. Y’all, I never get heartburn anymore, now that I’m taking that oh-so-wonderful drug called Protonix. Man, that gave me a stomach of steel! So while enjoying the elevator ride up to my floor, I decided I need to find a peaceful moment, my moment of zen for the day. So I started some basic breathing exercises while I made my way through the double doors to my hallway. I shut my door and sat down at my desk. I was thinking, “Hey, this might be a good lunch after all!”

Then I read another e-mail. Dammit.

All of a sudden, I decided what to do. I’m eating my brownie before I eat my sandwich! I’m almost positive there is peace in chocolate.
