You know, I’m discovering that I totally suck at this whole blog thing. I just never remember to update. I mean, I’m always thinking of things to add, but I manage to get sidetracked before I can make it happen…
I’ve been having an Alexander day. Specifically, Alexander from the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day fame. Did you ever have one of those moments when you see or hear something that is affirming and reassuring at a time when you really need it? Like today, I’m feeling completely overwhelmed by school and a major project that is due tomorrow. I’m not relating well to my teammates, which is a major source of the frustration. I am compeltely underwhelmed at work, feeling unimportant, unappreciated, and like I don’t belong. And I am blessed to come across this message in a card:
You may not think you can reach it–climb anyway.
You may not think you will be heard–speak anyway.
You may not think you can change things–try anyway.
Believe in yourself.
A small reminder that even though we sometimes feel insignificant and unable to meet the challenge, we have much within us that will bring significance and success in the end.
